Please pray for the soldiers, sailors and airmen from every country involved in the conflict in the Balkins. Pray also for their loved ones who have been left behind to carry on alone. Pray for safty and a swift end to the fighting.

So many children have been diagnosed with cancer in the last few years. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers. Also pray for the financial support these families need to pay for the treatments, for emotional support to watch their children go through this ordeal and for those who work to find a lasting cure or a prevention.

Please pray for all those who have been hit by the severe winter storm that passed through. Pray also for all those who have to work out in the terrible cold and snow. For the snow removal crews, the truck drivers, the utility linemen and all the others that make our safty and comfort possible.

This week please pray for those children who have chronic illnesses. Children with things like Asthma, and other respratory diseases, chronic infections, and disabilities that prevent them from doing the things that other children can do. Pray for them and their families.

In this season of joy and hope, pray for those who have no joy, those who have no hope. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and are grieving without the hope of eternal life. Pray for those who see no way out of their current situation be it financial reverses, bad marriages, family problems, addictions or any or the other situations in life that can leave us without joy, without peace, without hope. Pray that they will find the only One who can bring them light and peace and joy and hope in this Holiday time.

Pray for the men and women of the military and for their families. These people are willing to go out and fight and die to defend our freedom. Pray for the families of those who have died in the past to make and keep us free.

Pray for those who are in pain. The pain may be physical, mental, spiritual or emotional. There truly is no difference. There are those suffering from illness, from abuse, from neglect, from loneliness, from problems with families and from sheer overwork which causes it's own form of pain. You don't know but what that person sitting next to you at work or on the bus or in the theater is now in pain today. Pray that the pain will ease, the needs be met and the Lord will be glorified in all.

Pray for those people who are traveling, whether driving, flying or taking the train. Pray for their safe arrival at their destination. We are all travelers through this live and we need to pray for our safe arrival on the distant shore.

Pray for those people suffering through terrible storms. There are many kinds of storms, there are storms of weather - hurricanes being top on the list this week - there are also the storms of the spirit. Both kinds are destructive, both kinds can change lives forever.

Pray for the leaders of the nations. Many of our national leaders are under attack either justly or unjustly but if we are to continue to live secure lives in this world, we must pray for God's will in their lives as well as in our own.
