When you become a
Christian, you are changed into a completely new person. It is important, as
Christians, to know our position in God, to view our true identity, and worth,
through the eyes of God, and the scriptures. This collection of scriptures
shows how much we are loved, and valued as people, by God. Never let anyone
tell you that you are worthless or insignificant. You have value in the eyes of
God so great that it was worth dying for you. You are a blessing to the world.

of God with worth and value!” Receiving revelation in this area literally
changed my life. When I first started walking with the Lord, my life was filled
with many faults. I was constantly trying to do good and win God’s approval,
but I could never measure up. It seemed like every morning the devil was at my
bedside, giving me an inventory of everything I did wrong the day before. I
felt so condemned and guilty that I developed a habit of asking God to forgive
me for the same sins over and over again.
But as I began to study the Word, my
thinking began to change. One night while I was asking for forgiveness, God
spoke to me and said, “Joyce, I forgave you the first time you asked me. You
need to receive My forgiveness, forgive yourself, and move on. When you make a
mistake, confess it to Me, and I will take care of it.” This does not mean we
should take our sins lightly – we should have sorrow over the sins we commit.
But we can’t remain sorrowful and allow the enemy to bombard us with guilt and
condemnation.
Think about it for a minute. What are you
putting your confidence in? If it is anything other than Christ, you’re in for
a disappointment. I encourage you to stop looking at yourself to see what you
can do to get in God’s good graces. If you’re born again, you’re already in God’s
good graces – you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ, and every
spiritual blessing is available to you through Him! All you have to do is
believe it!
I want you to become all that you were
meant to be. When you get a revelation of who you are in Christ, you will no
longer be dissatisfied, empty, unsure, or insecure. Knowing who you are in
Christ, You’ll discover the importance of believing what the Word of God says
about you and how you can live from faith to faith in everything you do. And
you’ll find that real confidence comes from being in Christ, not from yourself.
