200 Truths and Facts about

Born Again Christians

Psalm 19:7-11 7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.   8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.  10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  11Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.  27:4 4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

When we trust and receive Jesus as God, believe in our hearts and confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, God then changes our nature to be like His. We are literally born again. The new Believer is placed in Christ and is blessed in many ways but may not be aware of many of these things happening to them until gaining some spiritual maturity and growth in the word of God, but these lists of truths, character, attitudes and attributes are ours regardless of our knowledge about them. We must be committed and determined to grow in faith, the knowledge of God and in Christ likeness by making conscious choices to walk with the Lord every day. Choices and decisions to please God by following his precepts, these do not happen without the deliberate effort and actions that should mark all mature Christians who apply Gods word in their lives.

Character and Attitudes Of a Believer –

The attitude of believers is characterized by their single-minded (highly; light; single; eye) aim (goal) to please God, always zealous (diligence; endeavor; fervent; zeal) for his honor, and presenting their bodies (instruments; reasonable; vessel) in readiness (loins) for divine service.

Christian character perfects holiness (chaste; blame, blameless; devout; godliness; guiltless; pious; unblemished; upright; uprightness) and love out of reverence for God. Believers are to be honest (decently), gentle, compassionate (affection; bowels), modest (discreet; orderly), diligent (care; imagine), soberminded (soberness), sincere, and guileless (harmless), conduct (behave) which befits (become) the people of God. They are to be faithful (faith; faithfulness; fidelity; to keep, watch, guard) and vigilant (wake; wait; watch), responding to God in humility (abase; courteous; to humble; humbleness of mind), trust, and obedience (to hear). They are not to be anxious (thought) about anything, but are to be content in whatever situation they find themselves, slow to speak (utterance) and keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. They are to earnestly desire (delight in; thirst) good things and to covet (stir) spiritual gifts, always maintaining a teachable (instruction) spirit.

In addition to these virtues the character of the believer exhibits joy (rejoice; unspeakable), courage (bold; confidence; dare), and blessing.

Ephesians 4:22-24 22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

26)                  We are born again with a spiritual re-birth John 3:3-7 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 28-31 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

54)                  We are a love gift to the Son John 17:6,7,9 6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

55)                  We are saved by Christ Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Matthew 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven: John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

56)                  I have streams of living water flowing out from within me John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

57)                  I have abundant life John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Acts 17:25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or fathers, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

58)                  We become the salt of the earth Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

59)                  We become the light of the world Matthew 5:14-15 Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candle-stick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 2 Corinthians 4:6 6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

60)                  We are able to cast out devils Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

61)                  We are in the Kingdom of God Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of god is within you.

62)                  We are not under condemnation John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   17 For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 8:1 there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

63)                  We are set free John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them, who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Luke 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called into liberty, only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

64)                  We are able to do great things in Jesus John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

65)                  We are going to be with Jesus John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.

66)                  We are the branches John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

67)                  We are guided into all truth John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

68)                  We become dead to sin, but alive to God Roman 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead  indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

69)                  We are helped in my weakness by the Holy Spirit Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

70)                  We become more than a conqueror through Christ Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

71)                  We are kept from falling by God Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

72)                  We are members of the body of Christ Romans 12:5 So we, bring many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.  14For the body is not one member, but many. 15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20But now are they many members, yet but one body. 21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.  24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: 25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.  26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

73)                  We have the mind of Christ 1 Corinthians 2:16 for who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

74)                  We are kept from unbearable temptation by God 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

75)                  We become followers of Christ 1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 12:26  26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be:  if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 21:22 22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. Luke 5:27 27And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 9:23  23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Mark 3:28 28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: John 10:4-5 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

76)                  We are triumphantly led by God in Christ 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

77)                  We have an everlasting hope in Jesus 2 Corinthians 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

78)                  We are being transformed into Christ likeness 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

79)                  We are made strong 2 Corinthians 12:10 therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, them am I strong.

80)                  We are all one in Christ Galatians 3:28 there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or female: for ye all one in Christ Jesus.

81)                  We become partakers of the promise Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.

82)                  Our every need will be supplied by God Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain into life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

83)                  We seek God Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

84)                  We are instructed Philippians 4:12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound: every where an in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

85)                  We are rescued Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Luke 1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

86)                  We have Christ in us, the hope of Glory Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

87)                  We are prepared in season and out of season 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.

88)                  God faithfully chastens all of His children 1 Corinthians 11:28-32 28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.  30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Hebrews 12:5–8 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 1It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

89)                  We become special James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

90)                  We are filled with the inexpressible and glorious joy of the Lord 1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable. John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. Ephesians 2:7 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Colossians 3:3-4 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. Romans 8:30 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

91)                  We are already living stones in the spiritual building of God 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:20-22 20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

92)                  We have everything we need for life and godliness 2 Peter 1:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

93)                  We overcome evil 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

94)                  We are born of God 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of god keepeth himself, and the wicked  one toucheth him not. 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

95)                  We are made rich 2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

96)                  We become fishers of men Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

97)                  We will be rewarded Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend; hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 2 Timothy 4:8 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Ephesians 6:8 8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. Colossians 3:4 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 24 24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

98)                  We are given wisdom Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. Luke 21:15

99)                  We are filled by the Holy Spirit Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

100)               We receive honor Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. John 12:26; Colossians 3:24

101)               We are given rest Matthew 11:28-29 Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

102)               We have Gods with us Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Acts 18:10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

103)               We receive Gods mercy Luke 1:50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation 1 Peter 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

104)               We become generous 2 Corinthians 9:13 13Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; 8:1-7 1Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.  3For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 4Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 6Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.  7Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. Acts 20:35 I have shown you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

105)               We obey Gods word Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea, rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Mark 8:26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town. 9:9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.  Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

106)               God gives us justice Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

107)               God provides us John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

108)               We are delivered John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 5:8-10 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

109)               We abstain from fleshly lusts 1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

110)               We become fruitful John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

111)               We receive grace 1 Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

112)               We have our minds set on what the spirit desires Romans 8:5-6 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

113)               We set our minds on things above Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

114)               We become Gods witness John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. John 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

115)               We begin to tithe the church Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 2 Corinthians 9:7 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

116)               We have Christ as head over all Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence. Ephesians 1:22-23 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is the body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto him which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner. 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

117)               We honor Jesus John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 1 Corinthians 6:20 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 10:31 31Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

118)               We have a high priest Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 5:10 Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 9:11 But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

119)               Jesus is our apostle Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

120)               We have a mediator 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

121)               We seek the Lord in prayer Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 22:40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to the Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove: and nothing shall be impossible unto you. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

122)               We have Christ as a solid rock 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

123)               Jesus reigns over us Ephesians 1:20-22a 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 1 Corinthians 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

124)               We are the seed of Abraham Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

125)               We become worshippers Matthew 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him 11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. John 9:35-38 35Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the first-begotton into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Luke 4:8 8And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

126)               Jesus intercedes for us Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

127)               We have understanding 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

128)               We are commissioned to preach the gospel Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. John 21:15-17 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Mark 3:14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:2 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. Matthew 28:19 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  1 Peter 2:9, 12 9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:   12Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

129)               We become listeners Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.  Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 7:14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. John 10:3-4 3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

130)               Submit out of reverence for Christ Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. James 4:7 7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Hebrews 12:9 9Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him. 1 Peter 2:13-14, 18 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 18Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

131)               We have faith Hebrews 11:6 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Mark 11:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. John 14:12 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Matthew 14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. Galatians 2:16 16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Acts 3:16 16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

132)               We are faithful Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Revelation 17:14 14These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

133)               We grow in faith and trust in God Romans 1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

134)               We serve Jesus and others Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

135)               We break bread 1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. Matthew 26:26-28 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

136)               We strive to be perfect Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Philippians 3:12-15 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. We study Gods word John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Hebrews 4:12 12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Colossians 3:16 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 2 Timothy 2:15 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

137)               We draw close to God John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

138)               We can ask Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

139)               We receive authority through Jesus Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. John 5:26-27 26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

140)               Jesus heals us Matthew 8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. 15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. 33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. Luke 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

141)               We are restored Matthew 12:13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Mark 3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.  8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Luke 6:10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

142)               We don’t have to worry Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 1 Peter 5:7 7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Matthew 6:33 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

143)               We bow before Jesus Romans 14:11 11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord,  every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Philippians 2:10 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

144)               We bear fruit Philippians 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Galatians 5:22-23 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

145)               Devout and Devoted - Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Acts 8:2 2And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 10:2 2A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. 22:12 12And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there, Luke 2:25 25And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

146)               Live in harmony with one another Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

147)               Hospitable - 1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. Acts 28:7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. Romans 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 16:23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother. 1 Timothy 3:2 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;  5:10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. Titus 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 3 John 8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth. Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

148)               Kind and merciful and forgiving Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Colossians 3:12-13 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 1 Peter 3:8 8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Matthew 5:7 7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

149)               We stop passing judgment Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luke 6:42 42Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

150)               Humble and gentle Psalm 34:2 2My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. Ephesians 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; James 4:6  6But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. 1 Peter 5:5-6 5Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

151)               Humility – Philippians 2:3-4 3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Proverbs 16:19 19Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

152)               Forbearing Romans 15:1-2 1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. James 5:7 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

153)               Encourage 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 4:18 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.  Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.

154)               We do not speak evil James 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. John 6:43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 2 Corinthians 12:20 20For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults: Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

155)               Fellowship 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

156)               We comfort others 1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 2 Corinthians 1:3 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

157)               We avoid quarrelling Mark 8:16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. Luke 6:11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. Acts 4:15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, Luke 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

158)               We do not lust Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

159)               We help others 1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

160)               We greet others Romans 16:16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. 1 Peter 5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. Acts 18:27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace: Colossians 4:10 Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) Philemon 17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

161)               We exercise control and patience 1 Corinthians 11:21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. 33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. James 5:7-8 7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.  8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

162)               We make effort to be honest Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

163)               Confess our faults James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

164)               Agree with one another 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Matthew 5:25 25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

165)               Regard one another Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 1 Corinthians 10:24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.

166)               Live in Peace and Unity 1 Thessalonians 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.; 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Romans 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

167)               Seek good of others 1 Thessalonians 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Romans 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. Galatians 6:10 10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

168)               We are not conceited Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Galatians 5:25 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

169)               No favoritism James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law of transgressors. 1 Timothy 5:21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respector of persons: Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. Job 34:19 How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands. Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Exodus 23:3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause. Proverbs 28:21 To have respect of persons is not good: for a piece of bread that man will transgress. Exodus 23:3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause Deuteronomy 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of the man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

170)               Members of one another Romans 12:4-5 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

171)               We share Acts 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

172)               We do not hold grudges James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

173)               We have compassion 1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies.

174)               We become responsible for others Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 1 Corinthians 12:25 that there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another. Romans 15:5 5Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

175)               We do not betray each other Matthew 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

176)               We are taught by God Isaiah 54:13 13And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 1 John 2:27 27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:18-20 18I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 19Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 20Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.  Titus 1:7-9 7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;  9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Hebrews 5:11-13 11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witness, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

177)               We begin to love others 1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 2 John 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: Colossians 1:4 4Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 1 Thessalonians 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 4:9 9But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

178)               We become content Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Proverbs 15:16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. Phil. 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content.

179)               Not greedy for money – 1 Timothy 3:3, 8 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 8Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Titus 1:7 7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 1 Timothy 6:10 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

180)               We put off the old man Colossians 3:8-9 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: Ephesians 4:22-24, 25 22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  25Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

181)               We become bold 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.8 Yet we are courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord. Hebrews 3:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 2 Corinthians 3:12 12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: Proverbs 28:1 1The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

182)               We become examples Matthew 5:16 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. Titus 2:7-10 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 9Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 1 Timothy 5:10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 1 Timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 5:10 10Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 2 Corinthians 4:10-11 10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

183)               We Judge 1 Corinthians 6:2-4 2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 10:15 15I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. Romans 14:13 13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. John 7:24 24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

184)               We are partakers of his divine nature 2 Peter 1:4 4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. 1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

185)               We give thanks Colossians 3:17 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

186)               We become the aroma of Christ 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

187)               Our Salvation is eternally secure John 5:24 24Verily, verily, I say unto you,  He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 6:37-40 37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 10:27-29 27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. John 14:16 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Romans 8:29-30 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 5:8 8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 8:38-39 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 1:13-14 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Heb. 13:5 5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Colossians 2:13-14 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

188)               The penalty for all sin has been forever settled – Romans 4:23-5:2 23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 5:6-9 6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Hebrews 10:10-14 10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

189)               Those who step out of Gods grace are dealt with – Acts 5:1-11 1But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?  4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. 7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. 11And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

190)               We are saved by grace – Ephesians 2:8-9 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. Philippians 1:6 6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:  2:12-13 12But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 13So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

191)               We will be judged – 2 Corinthians 5:10 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

192)               Guileless/No deceit – 1 Peter 3:10 10For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: John 1:47 47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

193)               Godly – Psalm 4:3 3But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. 2 Peter 2:9 9The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

194)               Holy – Deuteronomy 7:6 6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. 14:2 2For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. Colossians 3:12 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Matthew 5:8 8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Titus 1:8 8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

195)               Meek/Gentle – Matthew 5:5 5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Isaiah 29:19 19The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

196)               Led by the SpiritRomans 8:14 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

197)               Obedient – Romans 16:19 19For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. 1 Peter 1:14 14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

198)               Sincere 2 Corinthians 1:12 12For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. 17 17When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

Favorite Bible verse: Job 23:10-12 10But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.  11My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. 12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

I gratefully wish to express my thanks and appreciation to the local church for equipping me through the Disciple School of Training, Leadership Trainings, camps and many such programs that impart love and appetite for Gods Word.  Thanks to my wife Juliet for her loving support and encouragement and to members of the Home Cell Fellowship for always backing us with prayer.

Love you all in Christ Jesus

In Memory of My Dad Ignatius E. J Fernandes

He taught me to pray and would daily read to me Gods word under the candle light from the time I was 8 years old and set us an example as an avid reader of Gods Word.
