Our Father

Finger of God Light Touching Adam
Prayer in LUK 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him,
Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say,

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Holding Child's HandFather & Son The Lord's Model Prayer "Our Father", is prayer for thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. God's will is clear, His name is Holy, to be hallowed in His Creation, His Kingdom come, as fulfillment of His Will, and we receive the kingdom by faith, when we receive the King Jesus Christ into our heart (the earth) as Saviour and Lord, trusting  Him alone, we are forgiven,  healed or made whole, we are His, new creation, born again.

Prodigle Son

Father, God and Prodigle son

Lord, teach us to pray
The Prayer in Matthiew 6:9-13" 9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in the heavens, hallowed be thy name.

10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as
it is in heaven.
11
Give us this day our daily bread. 12
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

This prayer in the Gospel of Matthew and Luke is a prayer for the Kingdom of God, whereas the prayers in the Gospel of John (... pray in My name) are for eternal life and living by that eternal life. Matthew emphasizes the need to pray for the Kingdom come, but John is praying in the name of Jesus for eternal Life.

Lord, teach us to pray...
The Prayer in Matthiew 6:9-13" 9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in the heavens, hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."

Note the three key words at the beginning: "name", "kingdom" and "will".

This prayer in the Book of Matthew (also in Luke) is a prayer for the Kingdom of God, where as the prayers in the book of John (... pray in My name) are for eternal life and living by that eternal life. Matthew emphasizes the need to pray for the Kingdom, but John is praying in the name of Jesus for eternal Life.

The prayer in Matthew 6:9-15 " 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions..." - just repeating something over and over again does not necessarily bring us closer to God; real prayer comes from our heart in tune with God. "9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye:" - Ok to pray part of the prayer, sometimes we get too formal and forget to use scripture in our prayer.

This prayer is a prayer of Resolution in Vitrue Spiritual Warfare (see Ephesians 6:10-18). Eight major sections:

1. " 9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in the heavens,"
Pray "Our Father", not "O God", Romans 8:15 "Our spirit cries Abba Father". This indicated God, Our Father wants an intimate relation with His children. "Our Father" - This is a statement of the existence of God, In Romans 1:19-28 some people do not like to think about God, yet He is real. "Our Father" - Father also indicates source, God is our real ultimate source of everything we have, our all in all.

2. "hallowed be thy name." Psalms 8:1 "O Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is Thy name in all the earth " Philippians 2:8-11 "... the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow ...". The name of Jesus is the highest name in the Universe, so we need to use this name in impossible situations to bring them under the Kingdom of God.

3. "10 Thy kingdom come." Revelation 11:15 "The Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of Our Lord and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever.
{Joel 2:15} Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:Announcing
{Joel 2:16} Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders... {Joel 2:17} Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

1Ch 29:11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and
the majesty:
for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

4. ".Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven." Gen 1:26-28 - God created man to have dominion over the "whole earth". This is why the Lord taught us to pray "Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ". Gal 5:16,18 - "walk by the Spirit", "led by the Spirit" - we know the will of God by the Spirit. Acts 13:2 - "The Holy Spirit said ..." Acts 16:6,7 - "forbidden by the Holy Spirit", "Spirit of Jesus did not permit them"

5. "11 Give us this day our daily bread." Phil 4:6 "Don't be anxious, but take everything to God in prayer" John 6 - Jesus presents Himself as "I am the bread of life"

6. "12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." When we hold a spirit of unforgiveness toward others, this holds God back in our life.

7. "13 And lead us not into temptation," We need to pray this because even disciples had problems and failures.

8. "but deliver us from evil:" - we all need this prayer.

Final praise (omitted in Luke) "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.".

This prayer is a prayer of Resolution in Vitrue Spiritual Warfare (see Ephesians 6:10-18).

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. (Malachi 3:16)
II Peter 1 19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed,
as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn,
and the
day star arise in your hearts:
Heartbeat
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
JOH 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is,
 when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth

for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

New Life in Christ

Through this simple act of

believing God, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart.

You are as a child born into the family of God, & He loves you as He loves His Son.

Now that you have given yourself to Jesus, draw now back, "things are not as they appear, we walk by
The Gift of Faith of The Faithful, not by sight", take
not yourself away from Him, but day by day desire His Revelation, saing, "I am Christ's; I have given myself to Him;" & ask Him to give you His Spirit & keep you by His grace.

2. Believing

Phil 3:1;4:4
Romans 5:2
Create in me a clean heart, O God...

You cannot atone for your sins; you cannot change your heart & make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ.
"I can do all things through Chist who strenghtens me"

You believe His Promise, you confess your sins and give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you.

If you believe His promise,... believe that you are forgiven and cleansed,... God supplies the fact; you are made whole,

It is so if you only believe it. Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say:
I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.”
