ANTICHRIST MAKE COVENANT?
|
|
MYTH: The antichrist (prince) will confirm the covenant to be made with Israel for a seven year period. SCRIPTURE states a vile person
will break the prince
who (Note: this vile person
will be a king --
not a prince-- and _________________________________________________________________ The Scripture tells of a prince who will confirm the covenant for “... one week ...” (seven years) and: “... in the midst of the week ...” he “... shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease ... overspreading of abominations... make desolate... until the consummation ...”. Because this prince will confirm and then make some things “cease”, he is assumed to be antichrist. This is described in the following verses: Daniel 9:26 Daniel 9:27 However, Scripture goes on to tell about a vile person who will “stand up” (later identified as a king) and who will break the prince of the covenant. Daniel 11:21 Daniel 11:22 So, now the prince
of the covenant has
been broken by the vile
person. Daniel 11:23 The remaining twenty-two verses of Daniel 11 describe the activities of the vile person and include statements about him such as: ... his heart shall be against the holy covenant ... (vs 28) ... on his part ... pollute the sanctuary ... take away the daily sacrifice ... place the abomination that maketh desolate. (vs 31) ... shall he corrupt ... (vs 32) ... the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself ... magnify himself above every god ... speak ... against the God of gods ... (vs 36) Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers ... nor regard any god ... he shall magnify himself above all. (vs 37) ... shall he honour the God of forces ... (vs 38) ... shall he do ... with a strange god ... (vs 39) ... he shall enter ... countries ... overflow and pass over. (vs 40) He shall enter also into the glorious land ... (vs 41) ... he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious mountain ... he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. (vs 45) All of the above Scripture excerpts refer to that King who breaks the prince of the covenant. This king IS antichrist -- the prince of the covenant IS NOT antichrist!! ______________________________ NOTE: It’s interesting that these two are in “league”
with each other. _________________________________________________
